Transforming Rural Land into a Luxury Home Site - Orini, Waikato
This project transformed open farmland into a house site for a luxury rural build, with precision excavation and site works to match the scale of the home.

Project Details
Complete house site preparation for a large rural build.
This Orini, Waikato project took us from bare paddock to a fully formed rural house site. With full scale earthworks, we shaped the land into a stable, level platform ready for a large new home.
We started by stripping topsoil across the entire area, then used a bulldozer to cut down a natural knob of hill by around three metres. From there, we excavated three separate building pads at different heights, each with a one metre difference in level to suit the design of the home.
The excess material from the hill cut wasn’t wasted, we shaped and reused it across the site to form future landscaping and lawn areas, adding long-term value to the finished build. To secure the different levels, we excavated footings for block wall retaining, ensuring structural stability. Hardfill was then imported, placed, and compacted to lock everything in and create a strong foundation for construction.
From stripping and bulk earthworks through to retaining prep and final shaping, this Orini project highlights the scale and detail involved in preparing rural house sites. Our team has the expertise, equipment, and systems to turn raw farmland into a ready to build platform, delivering results that will stand the test of time.
