Delivered full siteworks, piling, and foundation prep for a new commercial build in Ellerslie.

This commercial project in Ellerslie, Auckland, was all about preparing a tricky site for an underground carpark and basement level. The ground conditions were dominated by hard rock, which meant our crew had to carry out major excavation before any building work could begin.

We started by breaking out and removing large volumes of rock across the site. Every load of rock and spoil was carted offsite. To achieve a stable formation, we excavated down into the rock and rebuilt the platform with imported hardfill, giving the footings a strong and reliable base.

Once the first floor of the building was up, our team returned to complete all the prep for the underground carpark slab and concrete works. This stage meant working in extremely tight spaces, with no clearance above the boom, requiring precision, patience, and the right equipment to get the job done safely and efficiently.

With the hardfill placed, compacted, and locked in, and the concrete prep complete, the site was handed over ready for basement construction. The combination of rock removal, material import, and working under strict space limitations made this a complex but rewarding Auckland project.
